like this https://github.com/Mochaka/XDM-NotifyMyAndroid ?
does goodreads have a database on audio books ? if so it would be fairly easy
that would require heavy usage of threading and would be big ... it might even work with the codebase from sabnzb
BUT that would involve some form of GUI and currently only mediamanagers can generate a GUI so first we would ne a system that would allow plugins to generate content / widgets on the site

As the information Provider groenlid created a urani.me plugin
and he is actively improving the api
i want to add another provider that adds data from trakt.tv with the tvdb id that is provided by uranime to have SxxExx information ... so postprocessors can name the episodes in a format that XBMC / PLEX and others can read
and its also a nice test for multiple Providers on one MediaType

you can see the current state at https://github.com/groenlid/xdm-anime-plugin-repo/...
yes it might work with the absolute numbers and appropriate scrappers
but as mentioned in the github issue i got multi provider data working with uranime data and trakt.tv data based on the tvddb id
the uranime data looks to be in sync to the anidb data

and someone wanted to write tutorials maybe I can find them and link them
custom torrent indexes: XDM by design can handle any kind of source if an appropriate plugin is given... A few torrent "indexer" plugins have been made and are in external repositories ... Have a look at the wiki page on github
it might not be clear but XDM itself does not handle torrents or nzbs ... Plugins define the type of download and others provide downloads of that type another plugin handles the download of that type therefore it's in XDMs nature to allow custom torrent sites by plugins
