Update from source
allow XDM to update from source by downloading the zip file from github and overwriting itself

kodi addon (search & manage downloads / possibility to play live before end of downloading)
a client remote control for kodi addon or a json webservice controller to do this actions :
- download (sequentially if possible) and read (live, stream preview?)
- read only
- download only.
(like pulsar or kmediatorrent, but a real torrent manager for multiple non-live downloads). Automatically continu to download media if stop live playing.

Identifiing files / names to elements
Add a plugin type that allows to XDM to identify a file as an element in XDM
these plugins would be restricted to one MediaTypeManager
they would need a location config field and make only sense with an "element config"
these plugins could set a status for the found Element and report the location to XDM, they could also be used to identify names from RSS feeds or other locations!
NOTE: for XDM to be location aware changes have to be made (another idea)

Location awareness
general knowlege of location of an element on the local file system
useful for completed elements and other plugins could use the given location of a MediaTypeManager or Show
which would mean the awareness has to on an element

chrome plugin to add stuff
would be great if it at least supported goodreads and imdb to add movies and books respectively. Couchpotato has a decent chrome plugin as an example.

centralized repo collection FORM
a simple form for plugin developers where they can add there repo json url.
XDM will also pull this information and allow users to easily add the repository.
This "service" will be add/push only after you added your url you can not remove it without my help.
i am not sure i like the idea...
its missing the information in the repo (like plugin count) and no additional information like user comments ala "this repos stinks and deleted my files" or "better versions of the main repo plugins HERE"
adding this to the "simple" form makes it a bigger task and i would rather like a "cloud" hosted / service
